Are you looking for ways to upgrade how you consume cannabis? Our local Massachusetts dispensaries in Framingham, Hudson, and Pittsfield carry a variety of weed products that go beyond just flower. From Isolate to Hash, Live Resin, and more, our dispensary has what you need to elevate your smoking experience.

Before heading to your local Temescal Wellness to purchase, always keep in mind the Massachusetts laws, especially if you plan to mix and match. Individuals who are 21+ with a government-issued ID can purchase up to 1 ounce of recreational cannabis flower, or 5 grams of cannabis concentrate (including tinctures), or 500 mg of cannabis edibles per person, per day.

According to extractwise.ca, Isolate is defined as a “cannabinoid in its crystal form. It is so pure that no other compounds are present. It is often found in powdered form, and is sometimes called crystalline.”  At Temescal Wellness dispensaries, we carry THC-A Isolate at an excellent price point, $30 for .5g and $50 for 1 gram.

Highly potent THC Isolate cannabis product

Wondering how to use THC-A isolate? Here are some of the popular methods:

  • Flower Potency Enhancement: One common use of THC-A isolate is to sprinkle it on top of cannabis flower before consumption. This can significantly increase the overall THC content of the flower, leading to a more potent and enhanced experience.
  • Oral Consumption: Some individuals prefer to consume THC-A isolate orally in its raw form. This allows them to take advantage of the potential health benefits attributed to THC-A, such as anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties. Consuming it orally may require lower doses compared to traditional THC consumption, as THC-A does not produce the same psychoactive effects as THC.
  • Edibles: THC-A isolate can be incorporated into recipes to create edibles with controlled dosages. When cooking with THC-A, it's important to decarboxylate it first to convert it into THC, as heat is required to activate its psychoactive properties. This process involves applying gentle heat to the isolate before adding it to your recipe.
  • Tinctures: Mixing THC-A isolate with a carrier oil, such as coconut or olive oil, can create THC-A-infused tinctures. These tinctures can be taken sublingually (under the tongue) for faster absorption into the bloodstream. As with edibles, you'll need to decarboxylate the isolate if you want to convert it into THC before making the tincture.
  • Vaporization and Dabbing: Like other cannabis isolates, THC-A isolate can be vaporized or dabbed using appropriate equipment. Vaporization allows for inhalation without the combustion of plant material, making it a potentially healthier alternative to smoking. However, keep in mind that vaporizing THC-A isolate won't produce the typical psychoactive effects associated with THC vaporization, as it remains in its non-psychoactive form.
Cannabis plant covered in trichomes grown by Temescal Wellness

Keif is the collection of loose cannabis trichomes that you can accumulate by sifting flower buds and is retrieved by scraping the mesh screen of your weed grinder.  Keif is a concentrated form of your flower, so it is much more potent and can give you a stronger high when added to your smoke. Cannabis nugs that are characterized as soft and dense, can produce more terpenes, trichomes, and overall more kief when ground. You can pick up a gram of kief for about $15 to $25 at your local Temescal Wellness dispensaries in Massachusetts.

Leafly refers to Hash “as compacted cannabis resin that is brown in color, and more potent than cannabis flower. Cannabis flower is covered in glands that produce a sticky resin, which contains essential compounds like THC and CBD. These glands are separated from the plant using screens or ice water and pressed into hash.” To consume hash, the most common form is to smoke it, but it can also be vaporized. At your local Temescal Wellness cannabis dispensary, customers can purchase hash at around $40 a gram. Rosin and Resin

As we just talked about, Resin is what makes cannabis sticky. Cannabis resin contains all the cannabinoids and terpenes that give you an elevated experience. You might have heard of “live resin” which is made by freezing the plants to a very specific temperature throughout the extraction process. The result is a thick, amber concentrate with higher terpene levels and a distinctive flavor. You can consume this in a dab rig or pen.  At your local cannabis dispensaries in Massachusetts, our weed shops carry a variety of live resin cartridges, like this $40 .5g cartridge from Fernway, that showcase the plant's natural flavors, aromas, and effects.

Rosin is similar in its consumption, but different in its extraction process. Rosin is considered to be the purest form of cannabis because it is made with no chemicals. It is a solventless concentrate created by using heat and pressure to remove trichomes. Temescal Wellness in Framingham, Hudson, and Pittsfield all carry rosin in a “badder” consistency and rosin vapes. One gram of rosin badder can be about $60, and rosin cartridges are around $50 for .5g
